Facebook Data Deletion Instructions

This page explains how you can delete your GenX.art account and any data that we have obtained from your Facebook account.

What Data We Collect from Facebook

When you use Facebook to log in to GenX.art, we receive the following information from Facebook:

  • Name: Your full name as displayed on Facebook
  • Email Address: The primary email address associated with your Facebook account
  • Profile Picture: Your Facebook profile picture (used as your avatar)
  • Facebook User ID: A unique identifier for your Facebook account

How to Delete Your Account and Data

You have two options to delete your account and data:

Option 1: Delete Your Account Through GenX.art Settings

  1. Log in to GenX.art using your Facebook account
  2. Navigate to Settings:
    • Click on your avatar in the top-right corner
    • Select "Settings" from the dropdown menu
  3. Go to Security Settings:
    • In the left sidebar, click on "Security"
    • Scroll down to the "Delete Account" section
  4. Delete Your Account:
    • Click the "Delete Account" button
    • Confirm your decision in the popup dialog
    • Your account and all associated data will be permanently deleted within 30 days

Option 2: Request Deletion via Email

If you're unable to access your account or prefer to request deletion via email:

  1. Send us an email at support@genx.art
  2. Include the following information:
    • Your Facebook email address
    • Your Facebook name
    • A clear statement requesting account deletion
  3. Verification Process:
    • We may request additional verification to confirm your identity
    • Once verified, we will process your deletion request within 30 days

What Happens After Deletion

When you delete your account:

  • Immediate Effects:

    • You will be logged out of all active sessions
    • Your account will be marked for deletion
    • You will not be able to access your account or data

  • Within 30 Days:

    • All your personal data will be permanently deleted from our servers
    • Your generated videos and uploaded images will be deleted
    • Your payment history will be anonymized (retained only for legal compliance)
    • All Facebook data we collected will be deleted

  • Data We Cannot Delete:

    • Anonymous usage data that no longer identifies you
    • Payment records required for tax and legal compliance (retained for 7 years)
    • System logs that may contain your IP address (retained for 90 days for security)

Facebook's Data Deletion Tool

You can also use Facebook's data deletion tools:

  1. Go to Facebook Settings:

    • Click the down arrow in the top-right corner of Facebook
    • Select "Settings & Privacy" > "Settings"

  2. Apps and Websites:

    • Click on "Apps and Websites" in the left menu
    • Find "GenX.art" in the list of active apps

  3. Remove App:

    • Click "Remove" next to GenX.art
    • Check the box to "Delete posts, photos or videos that GenX.art posted on your behalf"
    • Click "Remove"

Note: Removing the app through Facebook will revoke our access to your Facebook data, but it does not automatically delete your GenX.art account. You must follow the account deletion steps above to completely delete your data.
